Operations Manager

Job Operations:

The Operations Manager will oversee the Credit Union’s accounting, electronic services, plastic card and cash operations in accordance with all federal, state and credit union regulations and policies.  A great team manager takes pride in overseeing staff and providing mentoring and leadership.

The Operations Manager reports to the Manager, assists in carrying out the mission of the Credit Union, and works to ensure that the day-to-day needs of the Credit Union members are met on a timely basis. A professional, courteous and friendly manner is a must!  The Credit Union is open Monday-Friday and staff should be available to work an approximate 38 – 40 hour work week.

Duties may include, but not be limited to:

• Process daily transmissions including, but not limited to ACH, EFTs, debit cards, share-drafts, home-banking, REPAY loan payments, and VISA reports
• Accurate and timely processing of ACH and Share Draft exceptions, corrections, affidavits, stop payments, NSF fees and returns
• Process of daily General Ledger (GL) transactions and reconciliations
• Oversee wire processing
• Administer the debit card program and VISA disputes and chargebacks
• Reconciliation of the corporate accounts
• Receive and process payments for various invoices to the credit union
• Track supplies and purchase supplies
• Perform member maintenance when member’s information needs to be revised
• Assist members who request help with personal reconciliation
• Be available to fill-in on the teller line as needed
• Answer incoming phone calls, home banking messages and emails
• Stay abreast of legislations and regulations affecting areas of responsibility including ACH regulatory knowledge and NACHA compliance
• Observes and oversees the operations and teller team members’ daily activities
• Provide overrides, fee reversals/waiver approvals and handle escalating member issues/concerns.
• Manage voicemail system

Preferred Qualifications:

We are a small, but growing Credit Union. We are looking for an outgoing and friendly individual who is a self starter, can take initiative, meet deadlines and possesses a detail-oriented focus. The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or business preferred, but not required, with 3 years of experience in financial service industry. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and basic knowledge of accounting principles a plus.
