Important Notice: Debit Card Transactions and Balance Updates
Dear SUNY Fredonia FCU VISA Check Card Holders,
We are writing to inform you that our VISA debit card processor, FIS, is currently experiencing a hardware failure at their southern Technology Center, which was caused by a recent power outage. As a result, this issue is delaying the posting of debit card transactions. In addition, the temporary holds on these transactions are releasing before the transaction completes.
Due to this, your available balance may be inflated at this time. We highly encourage you to carefully monitor your account balances by reconciling your checking account to ensure accurate tracking of your funds; as inaccurate available balance information could lead to unexpected overdrafts, overdrawn draft accounts or returned transactions.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and FIS is working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. We appreciate your understanding and patience!
